De Kleine Komedie is housed in the buildings Amstel 56-58 and Halvemaansteeg 7 in Amsterdam. The task for gebouwNbeheer was to prepare and supervise the painting work.
After inspection of the facades and consultation with the user, we found that the roof of the front house was insufficiently wind and watertight, and our attention was drawn to cracking is the ceiling of the theater auditorium.
During the inspection of the paintwork, a significant amount of hidden wood rot was discovered at a specific facade. For this, a modified detailing was worked out in consultation with the client to prevent future wood rot.
In addition to the planned painting work, the roof was made windproof and the necessary connection details were finished watertight. The volker cladding of the stage tower is like new again after a thorough cleaning and wax treatment.
The suspension of the stone mesh of the plastered ceiling in the theater appeared to be no longer optimal due to adjustments for installations. An expert party was brought in to repair this.
All in all, after this maintenance work De Kleine Komedie can continue in a healthy building for another period of time.
