CiTG building TU Delft
  • TU Delft CiTG building

In cooperation with the faculty and OIII architects, gebouwNbeheer created a 3D building model of the existing building. Thanks to the extant extensive drawings and details of the structure, it was possible to build the model in a relatively short time.

About the CiTG TU Delft project

The building of TU Delft's Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences was designed by Van den Broek and Bakema (1968-1973).

This 260-meter-long building contains office and work rooms and a number of drawing rooms with different floor heights at the head. On the second floor is a communication area that provides access to all areas: the library, the canteen, an exhibition area and the striking expanded lecture halls. The structure consists of main trusses, two columns spaced 7.20 m. apart, over which a prestressed concrete beam cantilevers about 6 m. on either side.

The model was used at the time for the renovation and remodeling of the faculty.
