In cooperation with Duyts constructions and engineering firm Linssen, gebouwNbeheer analyzed the structural and Building Engineer condition of the building and investigated the possibilities for sustainability.
The analysis conducted resulted in a report that compiled the necessary maintenance and improvements to the shell and plant into a matrix. This matrix serves as the basis for deciding on the sequence of action.
First, as part of the maintenance, the steel façade frames were replaced by frames with insulated profiles and insulated glass. The appearance of the window frames remained unchanged as much as possible.
Subsequently, gebouwNbeheer and Daal Warries architects investigated the spatial possibilities within the building. This led to a number of potential optimizations of which the locker room area was the first to be tackled.
By merging spaces and relocating functions, space was created for an education room and a spacious artists' foyer with modern facilities. The dressing rooms were updated to modern standards. HX Installations designed and worked out the installations. The Future Building did the Building Engineer implementation in collaboration with HX installations.
